This has got to be the most adorable electric dirt bike for kids that we have ever seen – it even comes with little training wheels!
Your kid won’t think so though, with it’s chunky bright features and big knobby tires it looks like a monster on wheels, waiting to take the kid on their first dirt bike adventure. And it even has a pretend exhaust pipe, to look just like Daddy’s motorcycle! And to pump up the fun even more, it even has working headlights and a built in music system.
And while electric dirt bikes can often be rather expensive, this beauty is actually quite affordable (if not cheap).

Plus, as we’ve mentioned, there’s the training wheels, so there’s no way they’re going to tip over and lose their balance.
And steering the bike around without having to worry about pedalling, is basically a great way to help your kid gain confidence in their motor skills, something this particular age group likes to be encouraged with.
Speaking of which it’s aimed at kids from 3 years of age up until they’re 6, so they can get a good three years worth of fun out of it before it goes to their younger sibling (if it hasn’t already).

Best Electric Dirt Bikes – Buying Guide
Ok. as promised here’s a brief walk through of everything you might want to think about to help you decide what bike to buy.
It’s always worth a quick scan just to check you haven’t forgotten about something important.
The first thing you need to think about is whether the bike you’re looking at is appropriate for the age of the person you’re buying for.
There’s a huge market for electric dirt bikes for both kids and teens and the bikes are designed for specific age groups.
Young kids have small, and slow bikes made for them, that will keep them in an accompanying adult’s line of vision, whereas an adult’s bike will have a powerful engine, and will roar away at great speed, with top quality battery ensuring you get a good, long run before it runs out of charge.
This difference is basically the theme for the whole buying guide. In our top 5 picks above, we’re careful to set out what age group each bike is intended for.
The fun in electric dirt bikes comes in going as fast as you possibly dare. This speed is different for everybody, depending on the age and attitude of the rider.
If the person you’re buying for is a little nervous about the whole thing, you could opt for a bike with a low maximum speed. But if the person is more of a daredevil, they’ll be looking for more speed!
If you’re looking for a bike with a particularly low maximum speed for a small kid, then we can recommend our number 2 pick, the Best Choice Products Kids Electric Dirt Bike.
But for speed demons on the other hand then our number 4 pick, the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket, that is unless you can afford our number 3 pick, the SEGWAY Ninebot Electric Dirt Bike.
Battery run time and driving range
For those who don’t know, the driving range of an electric dirt bike is how far it will go on a full charge, which is of course directly related to the battery run time on the bike. The longer the battery run time, the further the distance the bike can go on a full charge.
For young kids, you don’t really want them to get too far, but for confident and adventurous older kids & youngsters, they’ll want to make the most of a full charge, even if it means several turns around the same mountain.
Wheel size and tyres
When you plan on taking a vehicle of any sort off road, the wheel size and tyres become very important. The tyres of an electric dirt bike are very different from your regular city ebike. They are notably bigger, and it’s this feature that helps them to navigate over rougher terrain.
As a general rule, rubber tyres with a good knobby tread that are also air filled are the best. They help to provide the traction you need when you’re off road. It’s worth noting at this point that after heavy use, the tyres will most likely need to be pumped again, or if the tread has gone on them, they will have to be replaced.
Brand matters. We’ve looked at the best seller lists with online retailers, and we’ve found that certain brands of electric dirt bike make more of a splash than others, and if you’ve read our product reviews above, you’ll have spotted it.
Razor is a great little brand, with a huge range of electric dirt bikes in their portfolio. They offer great quality at a good and reasonable price.
The other advantage of going with a good, well established brand is that when it comes to buying replacement parts or accessories, these will always be readily available.
Electric dirt bikes rarely come cheap, and even for a budget little kids one, you can expect to pay at least $100 or so. But there is a lot of variation in price when it comes to electric dirt bikes. And we think that once you’ve established your intended budget, you’ll have no problem at all finding a bike to match your budget.
The majority of the bikes in our top 5 picks all come under the $1000 mark, bar one exception which we just had to include because we were so blown away by it.
And it’s worth noting at this point that your budget needs to include not just the bike itself but also the necessary accessories to go with it, including any safety gear.
Frequently Asked Questions
